EU research director describes challenges of detecting nanomaterials in food


The director of the European Commission Joint Research Centre's (JRC) Institute for Health and Consumer Protection (IHCP), Elke Anklam, has described the challenges for legislators, industry and control laboratories to detect nanomaterials in food matrices in the latest edition of Food-Lab International, arguing that appropriate analytical methods are urgently needed to comply with future labelling requirements.
